With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Carmen A. Lascano Peñaloza, who departed this life on June 16, 2026, at St. Peter’s University Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey, at the age of 46.

Born on March 20, 1980, in Ambato, Ecuador, Carmen was the beloved daughter of Gonzalo Lascano and Hilda Angelita Peñaloza. She later made her home in Plainfield, New Jersey, while maintaining deep ties to her homeland and family in Ecuador.

Carmen was a hardworking and dedicated woman who spent many years working as a sales representative in the consumer goods distribution industry. Through her commitment, honesty, and perseverance, she earned the respect and admiration of those who had the pleasure of working alongside her.

Above all else, Carmen treasured her family. She was a devoted mother whose greatest joy came from caring for and supporting her children. Her love, guidance, and unwavering presence will remain a lasting gift to those she leaves behind. She shared her life with her beloved partner, Segundo Julio Bonilla Fiallos, and together they built a family grounded in love, resilience, and devotion.

Carmen is survived by her loving children, Katherine Lizbeth Bonilla Lascano, Segundo Fabián Bonilla Lascano, and Daysi Lissette Bonilla Lascano; her beloved partner, Segundo Julio Bonilla Fiallos; and many extended family members and dear friends in both the United States and Ecuador who will forever cherish her memory.

Those who knew Carmen will remember her for her strength, kindness, generous spirit, and unwavering dedication to those she loved. Her warmth, determination, and caring nature touched the lives of many and left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Though her passing leaves a tremendous void, her legacy of love, hard work, and devotion to family will continue to inspire those she leaves behind. She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever held in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Con profundo pesar anunciamos el fallecimiento de Carmen A. Lascano Peñaloza, quien partió de esta vida el 16 de junio de 2026 en el Hospital Universitario St. Peter’s de New Brunswick, Nueva Jersey, a la edad de 46 años.

Familiares y amigos están cordialmente invitados a acompañar y rendir homenaje a Carmen el domingo 21 de junio, de 5:00 p.m. a 9:00 p.m., en Scarpa Las Rosas Funeral Home, ubicado en 22 Craig Place, North Plainfield, NJ.

Carmen nació el 20 de marzo de 1980 en Ambato, Ecuador. Fue la amada hija de Gonzalo Lascano y Hilda Angelita Peñaloza. Más adelante estableció su hogar en Plainfield, Nueva Jersey, manteniendo siempre profundos lazos con su tierra natal y con su familia en Ecuador.

Carmen fue una mujer trabajadora y dedicada que desempeñó durante muchos años labores como representante de ventas en la industria de distribución de bienes de consumo. Gracias a su compromiso, honestidad y perseverancia, se ganó el respeto y la admiración de quienes tuvieron el privilegio de trabajar a su lado.

Carmen deja para honrar y preservar su memoria a sus queridos hijos, Katherine Lizbeth Bonilla Lascano, Segundo Fabián Bonilla Lascano y Daysi Lissette Bonilla Lascano; a su amado compañero, Segundo Julio Bonilla Fiallos; así como a numerosos familiares y entrañables amigos tanto en los Estados Unidos como en Ecuador, quienes la recordarán con cariño por siempre.

Quienes tuvieron la dicha de conocer a Carmen la recordarán por su fortaleza, bondad, generosidad y dedicación inquebrantable hacia las personas que amaba.
