María del Carmen Acevedo, de 79 años, nació el 23 de diciembre de 1946 en San Sebastián, Puerto Rico, y falleció el 15 de abril de 2026.

María estuvo casada con su difunto esposo, Ángel M. Acevedo, y posteriormente estableció su hogar en Plainfield, Nueva Jersey. Le sobreviven sus hijos, Ben y Diane Cordero; su yerno, Omar Cordero; y sus cinco queridos nietos: Yesenia, Omar Jr., Erik, Ylesia y Veronica.

El hogar de María fue el corazón de cada reunión familiar, un lugar donde todos siempre eran recibidos con amor. Disfrutaba profundamente cocinar y estaba firmemente arraigada en su fe. También sentía un amor especial por las flores, las plantas y la jardinería, reflejando el cuidado y la belleza que brindó a la vida de quienes la rodeaban.
