Maria del Carmen Acevedo, 79, was born on December 23, 1946, in San Sebastián, Puerto Rico, and passed away on April 15, 2026.
Maria was married to her late husband, Ángel M. Acevedo, and later made her home in Plainfield, New Jersey. She is survived by her children, Ben and Diane Cordero; her son-in-law, Omar Cordero; and her five beloved grandchildren, Yesenia, Omar Jr., Erik, Ylesia, and Veronica.
Maria’s home was the heart of every family gathering, a place where everyone was always welcomed with love. She found great joy in cooking and was deeply rooted in her faith. She also had a special love for flowers, plants, and gardening, which reflected the care and beauty she brought into the lives of those around her.
Maria will be remembered for her warmth, her loving spirit, and the joy and life she brought to all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, and cherished memories that will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends.
