Maria Romani

Maria Romani 102, died Monday, August 20, 2018 at Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington. Mrs. Romani was born in Farnese, Italy and moved to North Plainfield in 1932. Maria was a retired seamstress working many years for Janel Modes of Plainfield. She was predeceased by her husband, Rudolfo in 1987, a son Anthony in 2001 and a daughter-in-law Mafalda Mae in 1965. Surviving are two grandchildren Rudy and Maria Romani and six great grandchildren Courtney, Ashley, Brittany, Adam, Amanda and Toni. Services will start 9:00 AM Saturday From Scarpa-Las Rosas Funeral Home, 22 Craig Place, North Plainfield, followed by a 10:00 AM Mass at St. Joseph RC Church, in North Plainfield. Burial will take place in Holy Redeemer Cemetery in South Plainfield. Visiting hours are Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
