Maria V. Rosa, 76, of Plainfield, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on April 17, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Family and friends are welcome to visit on Friday, April 24th from 2–8pm at Scarpa Las Rosas Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 25th from 8:00–10:30am at the funeral home.

Born on April 19, 1950, in Buena Aventura, Colombia, Maria was the cherished daughter of the late Manuel and Cleotilde Mosquera Castro. She carried her Colombian roots with pride and built a life centered on family, faith, and devotion.Maria was the devoted wife of Abraham Rosa Ramos, with whom she shared a lifetime of love, partnership, and unwavering commitment. She was a loving and dedicated mother and a proud grandmother whose greatest joy was spending time with her family. Her warmth, strength, and nurturing spirit touched everyone who knew her. 

For more than 45 years, she was the owner of Buenaaventura Restaurant, where she served her community with dedication and passion, leaving a lasting impact. Maria will be remembered for her kindness, her deep love for her family, and the legacy of care and compassion she leaves behind.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Abraham Rosa Ramos; her children; her grandchildren; and many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

Familiares y amigos están cordialmente invitados a visitar el viernes 24 de abril de 2:00 p.m. a 8:00 p.m. en Scarpa Las Rosas Funeral Home. El servicio fúnebre se llevará a cabo el sábado 25 de abril de 8:00 a.m. a 10:30 a.m. en la funeraria.

Nacida el 19 de abril de 1950 en Buena Aventura, Colombia, María fue la querida hija de los difuntos Manuel y Cleotilde Mosquera Castro. Llevó con orgullo sus raíces colombianas y construyó una vida centrada en la familia, la fe y la devoción.

María fue la devota esposa de Abraham Rosa Ramos, con quien compartió toda una vida de amor, compañerismo y compromiso inquebrantable. Fue una madre amorosa y dedicada, y una orgullosa abuela cuya mayor alegría era pasar tiempo con su familia. Su calidez, fortaleza y espíritu protector tocaron a todos los que la conocieron. Durante más de 45 años, fue propietaria de Buenaaventura Restaurant, donde con dedicación y pasión sirvió a su comunidad, dejando una huella imborrable. María será recordada por su bondad, su profundo amor por su familia y el legado de cuidado y compasión que deja.

Le sobreviven su querido esposo, Abraham Rosa Ramos; sus hijos; sus nietos; y muchos familiares y amigos que la extrañarán profundamente.
