Nancy A. Peterson, 75, of North Plainfield, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on October 1, 2026, at her home.

Born on June 22, 1951, in Plainfield, New Jersey, Nancy was the beloved daughter of the late Vincent Tufaro and Frances Cotignola. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and cherished member of her family. Nancy was predeceased by her beloved husband, Michael John Peterson, in 2024.

Nancy dedicated much of her professional life to working as a bookkeeper at Greenbrook GMC in Green Brook, New Jersey. While she was devoted to her work, Nancy found her greatest happiness in the people, hobbies, and simple pleasures that brought joy to her life.

Nancy loved her family dearly and treasured the time she spent with them. She had a creative and caring spirit and especially enjoyed creating beautiful diamond art and making handmade baby blankets. She loved cooking and took great pleasure in preparing meals for those she cared about. Nancy also enjoyed music, movies, watching the Hallmark Channel, shopping, and had a special love for jewelry.

Nancy had a deep love for animals, which were an important part of her life. She leaves behind her beloved feline companion, Oreo, and canine companion, Micky, who brought her love, comfort, and companionship.

Nancy is survived by her loving daughters, Robin Colletti, Cheryl Moyer and her husband Brian, Shelly Kirk and her husband Sean, Jacqueline T. Peterson, and Lisa Royer. She was a proud grandmother to Eddie Colletti and his wife Lauren, Haley Moyer, Nikki Wentzheimer, Shanna Wentzheimer, and Tallon Royer. She was also a loving great-grandmother to Madelyn and Penelope.

She is also survived by her sister-in-law and best friend, Elaine Eberstadt; her brother, Michael Tufaro and his wife, Karen; as well as a loving extended family who will cherish her memory.

In addition to her husband, Michael John Peterson, Nancy was predeceased by her brothers, Vincent Tufaro and Joseph Tufaro, and her sister, Marie Burgess.

Nancy will be remembered for her loving heart, generous spirit, creativity, and unwavering devotion to her family. She found happiness in the simple pleasures of life, from cooking and crafting to shopping and spending time with the people and animals she loved.

Her greatest joy was her family, and the love she shared with them will remain a lasting part of her legacy. Nancy leaves behind a lifetime of cherished memories that will be held close by all who knew and loved her.

She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Though she is no longer with us, Nancy's love, warmth, and memory will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

Following cremation, Nancy's final arrangements were entrusted to Rosehill Crematory in Linden, New Jersey.
