Omaira Correa Leon

With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Omaira Correa León, 79, of Plainfield, who departed this life on May 19, 2025.

Born in Alcalá, Valle del Cauca, Colombia, Omaira brought with her the warmth, resilience, and vibrant spirit of her homeland. She built a life rooted in love, strength, and selflessness, always putting family at the center of everything she did.

She was the devoted mother of Luis Moncada, whom she cherished deeply and whose life she shaped with unwavering care and dedication. Her kindness, gentle presence, and strong faith will be remembered by all who had the honor of knowing her.

Omaira’s legacy lives on in the values she instilled, the memories she created, and the love she gave so freely. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, May, 23rd 10am in St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Plainfield. 

Cremation will follow in Rosehill Crematory, Linden.
