David Betancourt, de 69 años, de North Plainfield, Nueva Jersey, falleció el 6 de noviembre de 2023 rodeado de su familia. Nacido y criado en Agua Caliente, Guatemala, hijo de Alfonso y Clara Betancourth, ha vivido en North Plainfield NJ desde 2007; y anteriormente había vivido en California, Somerville NJ y Plainfield NJ. Vivió y creció en Guatemala hasta los años 80. Cuando llegó a los Estados Unidos llegó a ubicarse en el estado de California. David formó parte del ejército en Guatemala en su juventud. David luchó y logró traer a su esposa e hijos a los Estados Unidos. David era un gran hombre de todos los oficios y se jubiló cuando se enfermó en el 2013. David era un amante del fútbol y, aunque el 99% de las veces preguntaba quién estaba jugando, le gustaba verlo. Ver la Copa del Mundo cada 4 años fue algo que nunca se perdió. Era un amante de su país de origen y era muy orgulloso de sus raíces. David disfrutó pasar tiempo con su familia y también con todos sus amigos. A David le sobreviven su esposa, Cindy Quintanilla de Betancourt, sus dos hijos, Lesterh y Jeiner, sus nietos Hugo David y Liam Betancourt, y también sus hermanos/hermanas, Golo, Alfonso, Blanca y Zoila Betancourth. Su funeral se llevará a cabo para darle un último adiós el sábado 11 de noviembre del 2023 de 12:00 p.m. a 4:00 p.m. en la funeraria Scarpa-Las Rosas, 22 Craig PI, North Plainfield, NJ 07060. La familia indica que se sentirá muy agradecida por las contribuciones que serán muy bienvenidas para ayudar con todos los gastos relacionados con su partida. Parte de todo lo recaudado será donado a la Fundación Nacional del Riñón.

       
David Betancourt, age of 69 of North Plainfield, NJ passed away on November 6th, 2023, surrounded by his family. Born and raised in Agua Caliente, Guatemala, the son of Alfonso and Clara Betancourt, he has lived in North Plainfield NJ since 2007; and previously had lived in Plainfield NJ, Somerville NJ, and in California. He lived and was raised in Guatemala until the 80s when he came to the United States arriving in California. David was part of the army in Guatemala in his younger years. David was a man of all trades and retired when he became sick in 2013. David was a lover of soccer, and even though 99% of the time he would ask who was playing, he would enjoy watching. Watching the World Cup every 4 years was something he never missed. He was a lover of his home country and took great pride in it. David enjoyed spending time with his family but also with all of his friends. David is survived by his wife, Cindy Quintanilla de Betancourt, his two sons, Lesterh and Jeiner, his grandchildren Hugo David and Liam Betancourt and by his brothers/sisters, Golo, Alfonso, Blanca, and Zoila Betancourt. An afternoon visitation will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2023, from 12:00PM to 4:00PM at the Scarpa-Las Rosas Funeral home, 22 Craig Pl, North Plainfield, NJ 07060.  The family welcomes and truly appreciates any donations to assist with covering costs related to his death. Additionally, part of all donations will be donated to the National Kidney Foundation.
