Josephine DeMeo

Josephine DeMeo (nee Spitaletta), 88, passed away on February 25, 2021, peacefully and surrounded by her family. Josephine was born and raised in Jersey City, NJ and recently moved to Point Pleasant Beach to be closer to family. “Jo,” as she was known to all, was predeceased by her parents, Mary (Munafo) and Angelo “Charlie” Spitaletta. She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years Michael Louis DeMeo, Jr., her devoted daughter JoAnn and son-in-law Ben Giardina, and her most cherished grandson John Giardina. She is also survived by her brother Edward Spitaletta and his wife Mary, brother-in-law Peter DeMeo, sister-in-law Rosemarie Vuocolo, and many nieces and nephews. Jo was a long-time parishioner at Saint John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday, March 1, 2021 at 10:30 AM at 3026 John F. Kennedy Blvd, Jersey City, NJ. For the safety of family and friends, Covid protocols will be strictly followed at the church. The Funeral Mass will be live streamed for anyone who may want to be present virtually and pray for her eternal rest. https://youtu.be/rRQ6cHniqPc There will be no calling hours. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, family and friends may make a donation to the American Heart Association.

DUE TO COVID 19 RESTRICTIONS THE NUMBER OF OCCUPANTS ALLOWED ARE LIMITED AT ONE TIME. ALL VISITORS MUST WEAR A FACE COVERING AND ADHERE TO SOCIAL DISTANCING RULES AT ALL TIMES. WE ARE ASKING VISITORS TO LIMIT THEIR TIME IN THE FUNERAL HOME TO ALLOW THE FAMILY THE MAXIMUM AMOUNT OF GUESTS POSSIBLE.
