Susan Gladys Brucato

Susan Gladys Brucato, 74, died Thursday January 20th, 2022 at home with her family at her side. She was born in Lyndhurst, raised in Carlstadt before moving to North Plainfield 48 years ago. She worked as a night auditor for Howard Johnson Motor Lounge in North Plainfield. Susan was a snowbird, going to Fort Myers, Florida, where she enjoyed boating, swimming, walking on the beach, and collecting seashells. She also loved dancing and gardening. 

Susan was predeceased by her son, Ryan Brucato in 2014. Surviving, are her husband Samuel L. Brucato Jr, two sons, Jeffrey of Milltown and Scott Brucato of South Plainfield. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Timothy, Randi, Alexia, and Amore, and one great-grandson Hunter. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-8pm at the Scarpa- Las Rosas Funeral Home - 22 Craig Place in North Plainfield. Services will take place during the visitation. Entombment will take place on Friday at 11:00 AM at the Ocean County Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel.  All are invited to meet at the Cemetery Mosoleum at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
